Canadian Aeromedical Support Program (CASP)
The Canadian Aeromedical Support Program is comprised of our Alpa Canada Aeromedical Advisor (Physician), Pilot Health consultant, Pilot aeromedical volunteers and Alpa Canada Benefits support staff. We are here to support our members with aeromedical health issues or concerns that affect your Transport Canada Civil Aviation medical.
The following are highlights of the program:
RESOURCES: Experienced aeromedical consultant physicians that can answer your medical questions and serve as a resource for individual pilot medical certification issues. It is important to note, this is not a replacement for your personal CAME.
CONVENIENCE: There is an opportunity for you to take advantage of self-scheduling virtual appointments with a designated aeromedical consultant physician(s) at www.pilotMD.ca SUPPORT: If required, the program offers the opportunity for help in navigating your interaction with Transport Canada Civil Aviation Medicine. This is not designed to be a “fast track” process for your file.
PREVENTION: Development of initiatives for preventative health and enhancing the long-term well-being of our members.
We must emphasize that CASP is to support you with your Aeromedical concerns/questions, and it is NOT a walk-in clinic.
